I’ve been seeing matcha flavored donuts, ice creams, and smoothies pop up all over the place recently.  They all tastes really good, I personally love Starbucks’ Green Tea Crรจme Frappuccino.  My son, Ruben calls it alien drink and can finish a tall glass fast.

I’ve been also seeing matcha cookies everywhere but haven’t tried it out, curious how divine it tastes like, I thought I make one at home. ๐Ÿ™‚

Matcha Cookies recipe
The flavor of matcha is somewhat grassy, slightly sweet and a bit bitter. Itโ€™s different than the tea you find in bags. Matcha tea is tea leaves ground to a very fine powder.

I bought my matcha powder at All About Baking in Congressional Avenue, 250 grams costs Php450.   It’s expensive but it’s worth it. ๐Ÿ™‚

Making matcha cookies is no different in making any ordinary cookies. Check out my step by step instructions here and do not forget to watch the video I placed above. ๐Ÿ™‚

Enjoy!
