Can you feel it?
It has been a hot, sunny days lately and all we need is a refreshing drink to cool us down and enjoy the sweaty day ahead. 🙂
This grass jelly coconut milk tea is the win!
My neighbor sells milk tea and it’s Php80-Php90 for every big cup. It’s good and totally refreshing, my children are “suki” (frequent buyer) . But this fine day I would like to make them a home-made milk tea. 🙂
I used Jolly’s Grass Jelly.
The grass jelly has a pleasant, lightly herbal flavor that my kids love.
And to make it more special I used Jolly’s new Coconut Milk instead of ordinary milk.
And surprise, surprise! It tastes soooooooo good. The natural sweetness of coconut milk tastes best together with the tea. 🙂
When you put everything together: the grass jelly, tea, and coconut milk with some sugar it compliments each other and tastes really wonderful. My children loves it and playfully slurp the jelly that gets in their big straws. 🙂
You should try it soon, to make 4 glasses I spent around Php100-120 pesos only. 🙂
Here’s the recipe for you to try.
- 1 can Jolly Grass Jelly (cut into small cubes)
- ½ cup brewed black tea, cooled
- ½ cups very Jolly coconut milk cold
- sugar to taste
- Place about 1/4 cup of glass jelly into a glass.
- Stir together the cooled black tea and coconut milk. Add ice. Add sugar to suit your taste.
- Serve and enjoy!
Enjoy your grass jelly coconut milk tea!
